Hey Everyone!

Well it has been a pretty good week! On Tuesday we had exchanges with the Hermana Leaders (we have 2 every transfer) Its 24 hours with one of them in their sector. I went with Hermana Sosa she is from Columbia. We had a really good time and were able to teach some lessons.
We taught one woman about the Holy Ghost and how to listen for His voice so we can recieve answers. It was one of the most guided lessons I have every been a part of. When Hermana Sosa and I left we both felt like we had learned a lot in that lesson. Its weird to think of learning in a lesson when as missionaries we are supposed to be teaching. However the point is to learn how to let the spirit use us to teach the investigators. There is a big difference when I am teaching, and when I am teaching with the spirit. When I am teaching with the spirit I always learn a lot because things are coming to my mind and heart to teach the investigators.

Hermana Rojas and I are working with a couple of great investigators. One is a Juan, he came to church with us last week and we have been able to teach him a few times. He is struggling with the Word of Wisdom but is willing to keep working at it. Maite is the sister of a recent convert. We invited her to baptism and she accepted. She is great and we will keep working with her and helping her prepare!
This Sunday I gave a talk on *drum roll* MISSIONARY WORK! Haha every other week we are asked to speak and the topic is always the same which is good but I am not sure why they even tell us the tpic:) I tried to change it up a little so the members didnt feel it was the same "Hey we are ALL missionaries so get to work!" which I is partially true but also not super effective. I spoke about the story of Enos. That first we need to experience our own personal conversion and then we WILL recieve the desire to help others. It is very true. As I build my relationship with my Father in Heaven and understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ better, the more I want others to have the knowledge of the Gospel.

I know that we NEED to pass through hard things. Trials always help us understand someone else, or at least draw closer to the Savior so we can testify stronger of Him.

I will be sending some pics your way in a few.
I love you all a lot. I know that Heavenly Father hears and sanswers. I know that enduring brings blessings but enduring WELL brings miracles. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for the sins and pains we are feel and experience. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has been restored upon the earth once again. I know there is power that comes from partaking of the Sacrament every sunday to renew convanents we have made with God. As we stand as witness of Jesus Christ we will have the promised blessing of the Holy Ghost with us through out the week.
Thank you for your prayers and examples!
Les quiero mucho y gracias por todo.
Hasta la proxima Lunes

Choose to be Happy!:)

1:40 PM

Hi!

I sure hope everyone had a really good week:) You are all just great and thanks for reading my long emails every week haha
Okay!
So for a couple different reasons its been a bit harder lately but I have been seeing even more that Heavenly Father really sends blessing and its our choice to see them. I have a little notebook that I carry in my pocket to note little miracles from the day. I have been shocked that in the midst of hard times the blessings seem to be even more abundent.

This week we have had so many activities with the ward and investigators. The work is started to move a little more here. It was slow for the first 4 weeks because both my companion and I were new to the area so we walked around with maps and just knocked doors. We are finding some new people and teaching. My companion is very good at getting the members to come with lessons with us and it makes a difference.
We were able to teach a man this week who is dating an inactive member. We invited him to church and he came and so did his girl friend. She told us she has been wanted to come to church for a while and when her boyfriend invited her she knew it was time to go. Its amazing how the Lord works in little ways to bring about His work.
They are great people and we are going to teach them this week.

Funny story, yesterday was ward conference I was playing the piano for the hymns. They havent had someone to play piano in the ward for a while like 6 years so they have been singing the tunes a bit differently. I was playing the sacrament hymn and I am sure I was playing it right but they were singing the same words but a completley different tune. I had to stop playing because everyone was getting messed up. We all just laughed about it afterwards that they had all created their own tunes to the hymns.

Well I hope everyone has a great week:)
Love you ALL

The middle of Chile!

9:08 AM

HI!!!

Okay the middle of CHILE! Chile expands to Antartica! So today I went to a place about an hour South of Punta Arenas called Fuerte Bulnes and it is the middle of Chile. WOOHOO
I am becoming a dog lover. When the dogs come up to me in the street I actually take time to pet them! Progress! I want a dog when I get home!
Punta Arenas is amazing and I love it here. I love the ward and the investigators! It really isnt that cold. It hasnt snowed for a while which is a bit sad.
This week we had a special experience with an investigator Ingrid. She is 16 and wants to know if God exists. We passed by her house on Saturday and were able to invite her to church and she accepted! She came and it was such a good experience.
I have been really focusing on staying happy and not getting tired in doing the work of the Lord. I just know that true Joy and peace comes from placing Jesus Christ in the center of our lives and always looking to Him.
Mosiah 15:7
"The will of the Son being swallowed up in the will of the Father"
I love this so much. I know that we have the oppurtunity in our life to align our wills with the will of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. We are so much happier when we try to do this because we are building on a firm foundation (Helaman 5:12)
Study the Atonement of Jesus Christ and really think about how you can pull the power of Jesus Christ into your lives:)
Love you ALL!
